Jenna Gilbert
Master of Social Work Intern - Wayne State University

I am currently working toward a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Wayne State University, with a specialization in macro social work focused on leadership. My aim is to create an organization that helps support the LGBTQ+ community in expressing who they are in a brave space. Currently, I am interning at Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision, where I help with projects to tackle environmental pollution and encourage sustainability. Human rights, social justice, and environmental advocacy is where I thrive. My work is designed to promote positive change both in the community and within larger systems. I am very passionate about advocacy and community development, which fuels my dedication to environmental justice and helping marginalized groups. I take pride in recognizing people's strengths and supporting them in reaching their goals in different initiatives.
